Category: Uncategorized | Date: Aug 11 2008 | By: oltukaiconservancy

Along the Tarangire-manyara ecosystem ecosystem(in Ol Tukai village) the Tourists use to visit the area(maasai boma/homesteads) and then they pay USD 50 per boma visit. This money goes direct to individuals pocket, and this money money helps change the life of the people. The local people/pastoralists will be able to take care of the families in terms of medical attention, school fees, buying of livestock, food, and construct modern houses. This is to mention but few. The tourists not only paying the boma fee, but also can buy the maasai beaded products, like the necklace, tablemats, napkinrings, packbags, handwrists and anglebeads. Also they can donate some money to people to enable them to perform other activities.
